Part Time Coach

Location: Attleborough  |  Type: Part-time  |  Reports to: Head Coach

About the role

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic Part Time Coach to join the Adira Performance team. You’ll deliver high-quality coached sessions, focussing on improving the way our members move and help them navigate any limitations – helping members of all abilities move better, get stronger and enjoy their training.

You’ll need to have great energy, genuine desire to improve your craft and be part of a high performing team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Coaching group classes, including CrossFit, Hyrox and small-group sessions, with clear briefs, demos and scaling options for every ability
  • Creating a friendly, inclusive atmosphere where members feel supported from the moment they walk in
  • Keeping members safe with sound technique coaching and appropriate progressions and regressions
  • Supporting newer members through their first sessions and helping them build confidence
  • Helping keep the gym floor and equipment clean, tidy and ready to go

What we’re looking for

  • A recognised coaching or personal training qualification (Level 2 or above), or relevant coaching experience
  • A genuine passion for fitness, coaching and helping people progress
  • Strong communication skills and a warm, approachable manner
  • Reliability, punctuality and a positive, team-first attitude
  • Flexibility to cover a mix of early mornings, evenings and weekends

Full Time Coach

Location: Attleborough  |  Type: Full-time  |  Reports to: Head Coach

About the role

We’re looking for a dedicated Full Time Coach to become a key part of the Adira Performance team. You’ll take ownership of delivering an outstanding coaching experience across our full timetable, playing a central role in our members’ progress and in the day-to-day running of the gym. This is an ideal opportunity for a committed coach who wants to grow, take on responsibility and help shape a thriving fitness community.

What you’ll be doing

  • Coaching both large Group and Small Group Personal Training
  • Delivering a consistently excellent, safe and inclusive experience for members of every ability
  • Owning the member journey, from onboarding new starters to supporting long-term members with their goals
  • Contributing to session planning and programming alongside the coaching team
  • Helping to build and nurture the gym community through classes, events and everyday interactions
  • Supporting the smooth running of the gym, including standards on the floor, equipment and cleanliness
  • Supporting Junior coaches

What we’re looking for

  • A recognised coaching or personal training qualification (Level 3 preferred), or substantial coaching experience
  • Proven experience delivering group and/or small-group sessions
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with a real talent for motivating others
  • A reliable, professional and proactive approach, and the flexibility to cover a full-time pattern including mornings, evenings and weekends
  • A genuine commitment to members’ results and to the wider gym community

Nice to have

  • CrossFit Level 1 or 2, Hyrox coaching experience, or experience with older-adult or rehabilitation-focused training
  • Experience with programming and coaching development
  • First aid certification

Sample Session

5 Minutes – Workout Briefing
Every session being with a briefing. Here the coach will talk you through each part of the session and explain what the aim is for the day.

10 Minutes – Warm Up / Mobility / Movement Prep

20 Minutes – Strength / Skill
This varies each day, however each training block we do will have more emphasis on a particular movement to really push our strength in that area. This section tends be slower pace with a big focus on technique, usually followed by some accessory work, building muscle to aid the main lift.

A) Back Squat
2 x 6 @ 70% of 1RM
2 x 4 @ 75% of 1RM
2 x 2 @ 80% of 1RM

B) 3 Rounds:
10 Alternating Dual DB Step ups
10 Barbell Good Mornings
-Rest 90s between rounds-

25 Minutes – Conditioning
Before the conditioning begins the coach will go over the workout again, demonstrate each movement, show all the scaling options and talk you through the session flow. As you get set up the coach will come round and give you some pointers to focus on for the workout.

C) AMRAP 15 – RX Version
